About Remote Control System for Main Engine
A system to control an engine installed in a vessel from an operating panel in the wheelhouse. It also includes protective devices and alarm devices for the engine, so it issues an alarm if there is an abnormal engine condition and stops the engine to protect it if the condition is serious.
Advantages
With a single operating handle, operation can be switched from forward to backward movement and the engine revolution speed can be controlled from an operating panel in the wheelhouse of a vessel. The operating panel is also equipped with an engine revolution counter and pressure gauge, so the operating conditions can be identified. If an abnormal engine condition is detected, it is announced by an alarm indicator lamp and a warning sound.
